DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - One of the biggest questions heading into the 2020 season is the health of Cowboys linebacker Leighton Vander Esch. Can he replicate his strong rookie-year performance after going through an injury-riddled sophmore campaign?

Vander Esch answered that question in a recent interview with the "The 'Boys and Girl Podcast' podcast, declaring that he feels "as good now as" he ever had before suffering a serious neck injury.

"I mean I'm ready to roll," he said to Jane Slater and Bobby Belt. "I've been training full-go for a couple of months now, so it's not holding me back whatsoever. ... I'm just excited to play football at this point and get back on the field."

Vander Esch backed up his words last week in a video posted by Cowboys cornerback Chidobe Awuzie when he showed off a one-legged 41-inch verticle. Check it out below.
