Cowboys Running Back Ezekiel Elliott On Pass-Catching, Winning A Super Bowl & More

FRISCO (105.3 The Fan) - Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott met with the media Monday morning for the first time since training camp got underway last week.

See the highlights below:

How have things been going so far in camp with the new coaches?

"Things are going great. Today was our first padded practice. The guys are juiced up. We're flying around, throwing the ball around, hitting, covering. I think we all love Coach McCarthy. He's been doing a great job and we're excited for the season."

On his role this season?

"I don't think the roles will change much. We still have Kellen (offensive coordinator Kellen Moore) here calling the plays. We got a little different verbiage but I think it's going to be a lot of the same stuff."

On Dak Prescott not getting a deal done?

"Everyone in our locker room knows who our quarterback is. They know who our quarterback long-term is gonna be. Just keep grinding. Head down, keep doing what you've been doing and it's gonna work out. It's going to work itself out."

Which part of your game did you really work on this offseason?

"Just my pass-catching. I think this offseason I really didn't do anything from the backfield. I did a lot of stuff from out at receiver and in the slot. Just trying to evolve my game there so I can be a more reliable source in the pass game."

On how CeeDee Lamb has looked?

"Today he had a great day, catching balls in traffic. He's really electric. He's going to be a great player. Another tool in our offense. I was kind of surprised he fell that far (in the draft) and we were able to get him."

On his goals this season?

"My individual goals are just to win a Super Bowl. We have a great team. It's our time. That's all of our goals, to win the Super Bowl. Everything else is going to fall into place after that."
