Dallas has signed Taryn Christion, an undrafted free agent out of South Dakota State, team officials tell Mike Fisher of 105.3 The Fan.

Christion was initially signed by the Seattle Seahawks after the draft but was waived in May.

Christion went 33-11 as the quarterback for SDSU and led them to the playoffs in each of his four seasons. He also led the program to their first Missouri Valley Football Conference title and two trips to the FCS final four.

In 2018, he earned a share of first-team All-MVFC honors with North Dakota State's Easton Stick after he threw for 3,020 yards and 32 touchdowns vs. eight interceptions. He added six rushing touchdowns on 333 yards on the ground.

Christion will compete with Cooper Rush and Mike White for snaps behind the starter, Dak Prescott.
