DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - After Brett Maher missed another field goal during Thursday night's loss to the Chicago Bears, the Dallas Cowboys elected to bring in three kickers for a workout Monday at The Star.

Dallas had already brought Tristan Vizcaino, Nick Rose and Austin MacGinnis in for a workout after Maher missed a kick and had another blocked in the loss to the Buffalo Bills on Thanksgiving. The Cowboys decided to stick with their kicker then, but they may have no choice but to move on from him after struggled again this past week.

"Obviously, we have to do a close evaluation of it," said head coach Jason Garrett on his weekly appearance with The Fan's Shan & RJ. "We brought three kickers in earlier in the week. We decided to give Brett an opportunity this week. It didn't work out. So we have to take a real close, hard look at that."

Maher is 20 for 30 on field goals this season after going 1 of 2 Thursday. The 10 misses are more than any other NFL kicker has had in a season the past four years.

Dallas will bring in veteran kicker Kai Forbath this time, along with Vizcaino and Rose. The New England Patriots signed and released Forbath after he appeared in just one game following Nick Folk's emergency appendectomy procedure.

Originally signed by the Dallas Cowboys as a free agent out of UCLA in 2011, Forbath spent his rookie season on injured reserve. He has since kicked for Washington, New Orleans, Minnesota and Jacksonville.

Rose is a University of Texas alum, who's looking for his 8th NFL team. The 25-year-old is 11-of-14 in his career with a long of 55.

Vizcaino, 23, has spent time with the Jets and the Bengals. He played at the University of Washington, where he also punted.
