DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Dallas Cowboys starting left guard Connor Williams will have arthroscopic surgery on his knee, the team said Monday.

The Cowboys are optimistic Williams won't need to be placed on Injured Reserve and should return at some point this season.

It's unknown when Williams suffered the injury in Sunday night's 28-24 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

Xavier Su'a-Filo is the next man up and will likely start in Williams' place.
