DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Dez Bryant is defending his former teammate, Cole Beasley, after the slot man appeared to make even more critical comments about the Dallas Cowboys over the weekend.

"I felt like it was easy for me to be taken away," Beasley said about the Cowboys offense, via Tim Graham of The Athletic. "Really, in that offense, all you had to do was bracket me because I went beyond five yards rarely. And when I did, it was from the same formation. I was in the same spot all the time."

When asked about his thoughts about the Bills offense and the chances of him putting up numbers, Beasley feels confident that he can:

"I feel like I can do more damage in a system like this. A receiver in this offense is way more important than it was in my last offense. There's a lot more variety in what I'm doing here," he said.

Well he's not wrong so don't criticize him for being honest... he didn't say not one negative thing about the boys https://t.co/jewNoTj110

"Well he's not wrong so don't criticize him for being honest... he didn't say not one negative thing about the boys," Bryant said in response to Beasley's comments.

Bryant was also critical of the Cowboys offense upon being released from the team last summer.

Bryant remains a free agent after tearing his achilles in his first practice with the New Orleans Saints last season. The former Cowboy has been working out in preparation for a return to the field in 2019.
