Ezekiel Elliott Pledges $100,000 To The Salvation Army

FRISCO (105.3 The Fan) - Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott announced that he is pledging $100,000 to the Salvation Army.

Elliott made the announcement at the press conference to announce his six-year, $90 million contract extension.

Last season, Elliott was fined $13,369 by the NFL for throwing money and quarterback Dak Prescott into the Salvation Army red kettle during their Thanksgiving win over Washington.

Elliott threw $21 into the red kettle after scoring a touchdown and asked fans to match his donation. The Cowboys also matched each gift, making the total donation of $42,000 ($21,000 each).

Quarterback Dak Prescott later matched Elliott's donation.
