DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - People are tired of watching reruns of baseball games.  They want live sports to return soon.  North Texas gets to be the home of the first post-Coronavirus professional golf tournament of the 2020 season.

The PGA Tour announced that the Charles Schwab Challenge is going on as scheduled in less than a month at the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth.

Mitch Tothe is the Tournament Director for the Schwab Challenge.  He says the tournament will be held with no fans in the gallery.  And it will have tough restrictions for social distancing.

The players will have their temperatures tested constantly.  If anyone has a fever, that player will get tested for COVID-19.  Any player that tests positive will have to withdraw and quarantine.

Tothe says the field for this event will be the best one in the 74-year history of the tournament.  The only golfers that they haven't approached are Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods.

The Schwab Challenge is set for June 11 through the 14.
