Irving appeared in a video promoting the product over a week ago, saying he's a 'retired NFL star.'

During an interview with the Ben & Skin Show back in April, Irving said he and Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett "always bumped heads."

The interview came after Irving accused the coach of not being able to relate with players of color.

"I did not say that Jason Garrett was a racist, I have never said that before," Irving clarified during the sitdown.

"I feel like he doesn't think I deserve to be where I'm at with the little effort I put in, to sum it all up. It's true, I don't do everything that I should, I'm not an overachiever," Irving said.

Irving said he thinks Garrett is socially awkward and can't relate with certain backgrounds. Garrett is a good public speaker, but can't relate personally, according to Irving.

Irving had said in the interview that he wasn't legally retired and hadn't signed any paperwork with the NFL. It's unknown if he has since done so after he made the announcement in the video.

Irving also discussed marijuana, medicine, family and money with Ben & Skin. You can listen to the audio right here:
