Jones quipped, 'Zeke who?' when asked about rookie Tony Pollard's performance, sparking Rocky Arceneaux to tell ESPN's Chris Mortensen that he nor Elliott thought the joke was funny and thought it was "disrespectful."

Jones, of course, was joking, and had his chance to negotiate in the media Tuesday.

Given this owner's loyalty to that player, hard to argue w #Cowboys Jerry today when he says of 'Zeke who?" joke: 'I've earned the right to joke with Zeke. Let me be real clear about that. I've earned the right to joke with Zeke.' pic.twitter.com/jAmGJn6Xyc

"I've earned the right to joke with Zeke," Jones said the press conference to announce Jaylon Smith's new contract. "Let me be real clear about that. I've earned the right to joke with Zeke."

105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher agrees with Jones' opinion because the owner has been nothing but loyal to the running back with his off-the-field troubles.

Elliott continues to holdout from the Cowboys in search of a new contract despite being under contract through next season.
