'We all know what's going on in this country today. A 50-50 debate about going back to school. a 50-50 debate about wearing masks. It's all about a challenge. The Dallas Cowboys plan on playing all of our football games and we plan on playing them in front of our fans," Jones said. "I think it's important. I think it's important individually. I think it's important for the country. The NFL can be an inspirational part of how we address COVID, not only this year but how we go into 2021."
Jones isn't sure how many fans will be able to attend games this season but pointed to the team's 3 million square feet stadium as a way to help keep fans at a distance from each other.
"We'll adhere to all protocols. We'll adapt them to the uniqueness of our stadium. I think we're going to be able to have a great experience. I'm confident we have a very educated situation with our fans," Jones said.
"Following the policies set by the National Football League, along with government and CDC guidelines due to the COVID-19 pandemic, capacity at AT&T Stadium will be limited and therefore, Dallas Cowboys season tickets will not be available for the 2020 season and will resume in the 2021 NFL season.
Instead of season tickets, the Cowboys will offer their season ticket holders the opportunity to purchase a limited number of single-game tickets.
Fans are required to wear masks. Concessions stands will not accept cash to reduce contact. Fans will also be required to sign a liability waiver stating they will not sue if they are exposed to COVID-19.
