DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - With the NFL trade deadline quickly approaching on Tuesday afternoon, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says his team is always looking to see who may be a good fit with the organization.

"We have consideration in the mill, this is when you do it" said Jones on his weekly show with The Fan. "Anything is possible."

When asked about his team's record and the health of the team following the bye week, Jones expressed his regrets of not having a better season than they thought they would have.

"I thought our record would be better," said Jones. "We didn’t think the Jets game would have the outcome it had. I don’t know which ones, but you’re gonna get some surprises both ways.”

When asked how he would grade the #Cowboys first half of the season on @1053thefan - "That’s a pretty good grade, 4-3. And that’s as good a way to grade it as I know.” @PatDoneyNBC5 @rjchoppy @Tommysledge @RDCSports

When asked if he think the Cowboys will need to win the NFC East to make it into the post season, Jones still sounded optimistic, even with a current 4-3 record.

"I think this team has the potential to be a Super Bowl contender, but I don’t think that the way we have played so far will get us there" said Jones. "I think we got a chance to get in the playoffs. If we do, and we’re healthy, I think we’ve got a chance to advance.”

When asked about adding DE Michael Bennett, Jones said "We expect him to come in and play at the level he did last year. We think he’s got a lot of gas left in his tank. We expect him to come in and, frankly, contribute immediately.”
