DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - A player the Dallas Mavericks would surely have an interest in has decided to opt out of the final year of his contract.
Milwaukee Bucks All-Star forward Khris Middleton is declining his $13M player option and will become an unrestricted free agent, his agent, Mike Lindeman of Excel Sports, tells ESPN. Middleton and Bucks are planning to work together toward a new long-term deal, sources said.

He's a wing who can get you 18 points a night and can stretch the floor by knocking down the three-point shot (37.8 percent last season). But it appears his decision to opt out is only a formality as it will lead to a new deal with the Greek Freak and company.
105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher reported Tuesday that Dallas is expecting Middleton to re-up with the Bucks and has 'turned the page' on the former Texas A&M Aggie.
