ARLINGTON (105.3 The Fan) - Dallas Cowboys linebacker Leighton Vander Esch suffered a neck stinger in Sunday night's 37-10 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
When speaking to NFL Network reporter Jane Slater after the game, Vander Esch informed her that he is "good" and wanted to return to the game but it "wasn't up to me."

— Jane Slater (@SlaterNFL) October 21, 2019Vander Esch was forced to leave early after Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert fell on his head in the second quarter. The second-year pro laid on the turf for a couple minutes before walking off the field and into the blue medical tent.
As NBC 5's Pat Doney noted, Vander Esch dealt with a neck injury while he was playing at Boise State.
Leighton Vander Esch's neck injury has to be a concern. He missed half of his 2016 season at Boise St with a neck injury -- and it was reportedly a concern for a few teams in the #NFL Draft. @NBCDFW @1053thefan

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones informed the media after the game that Vander Esch would get an additional check from the team's medical staff and didn't want to speculate on the seriousness of the injury.
The Cowboys should have more information on his status tomorrow.
