In the first All-Star Game voting returns released by the NBA today, the Dallas Mavericks guard leads all players with 1,073,957 votes. Milwaukee Bucks' forward Giannis Antetokounmpo isn't far behind with 1,073,358 votes.

The 20-year-old Doncic is averaging 29.1 points, 8.9 assists and 8.3 rebounds per game.

Fan voting accounts for 50 percent of the vote to determine the 10 starters for the game, scheduled for Feb. 16 in Chicago.

The other half of the voting comes from current players at 25 percent and a panel of media members make up the other 25 percent.

The fan vote decides the two captains, who then pick the starters regardless of the conference.
