DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - It's been a rough start to free agency for the Dallas Mavericks, but Donnie Nelson and Mark Cuban are looking to rebound in a big way.
According to 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher, Dallas is hoping to close deals with free agents Danny Green and Marcus Morris.

Dallas has been closely connected to Green since free agency began on June 30, and his podcast co-host came on 105.3 The Fan yesterday to express the guard's interest in signing with the Mavericks.

"I'm tweeting about the Mavericks a lot because Danny is thinking about the Mavericks a lot," Harrison Sanford said Tuesday on the Ben & Skin Show on 105.3 The Fan. "As time has gone on here, he's really valued what the Mavericks have put in front of him.

"I think at the beginning of free agency, he was going to wait on Kawhi, and I think there's part of him that still kind of wants to. But I think, seeing what he has in front of him ... a tantalizing offer ... He just turned 32 last week so there's some assurances that he wants as he continues his career.

"In his Twitter bio, he gives respect to those who give respect to him. And by what the Mavericks are putting in front of him,  it's a very respectable offer and very respectable responsibilities (come with it)."

This is the first we're hearing about a possible pairing between Dallas and Morris. The 6-foot-9 power forward has been a great contributor to the Boston Celtics the last two seasons. He averaged 13.9 points and 6.1 rebounds while shooting 36.5 percent from distance in 75 games of action.

Morris, 29, isn't an ideal pairing next to Kristaps Porzingis in the starting lineup as Porzingis prefers to play power forward. But Dallas can't be too picky here after most of the quality free agents have gone off the board.

Dallas has around $22 million in salary cap space.
