DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Former Rangers outfielder Nomar Mazara took to Instagram to thank the fans for his time in Texas.

"Well Well Well! Today has been on (e) crazy day. I want to thank the Texas Rangers and the amazing fan base for one amazing run," Mazara said Wednesday. "From the age of 13 this is all I have known and something I’m truly appreciative of. I will miss everyone who’s played a role in my career to this date especially my teammates. You guys are family! Texas, you changed my life, you allowed me to live out my dream and I’m forever grateful. Chicago I’m ready for the South Side!!! Time to bring it back to the right side!"

In 2019, Mazara hit .268/.318/.469/.786 with 19 home runs and 66 RBIs.

As a junior in 2018, Walker was as a semi-finalist for the Golden Spikes Award. He was named to the All-Big 12 First Team. He finished his junior year with .352 batting average with 13 home runs and 53 RBIs.

Considered one of the top prospects for the 2018 Major League Baseball draft, he was selected 46th overall by the Chicago White Sox.
