DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Dallas Mavericks big man Kristaps Porzingis "recently had a platelet-rich-plasma injection as part of the treatment for the soreness in his right knee," ESPN's Tim MacMahon reported Thursday.
MacMahon reports the team's medical staff traditionally uses PRP injections to help players recover from injuries.
The Mavericks have lost three of the five games Porzingis has missed and will be without him for the next two games against the Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers, Rick Carlisle said at practice Thursday.
Callie Caplan of the Dallas Morning News captured footage of Porzingis doing some on-court work at practice.
