As a result, the Cowboys will be cautious with him, likely meaning he'll sit out most if not all preseason games.
Martin was held out of walk-through Friday, prompting the media to question why he was missing.
Head coach Jason Garrett said Martin is moving around fine but the trainers wanted to get him to get an MRI.
