DALLAS (105.3 The Fan/AP) - Rangers' third baseman Asdrubal Cabrera has been suspended for four games for throwing his batting gloves on the field after he was ejected in yesterday's game.
Caberea was ejected after disagreeing with a called third strike. While manager Chris Woodward was out discussing the ejection with home plate umpire Doug Eddings, Cabrera tossed his gloves from the dugout toward the plate. Cabrera struck out in all three at-bats.
According to multiple reports, Cabrera will appeal the suspension. The club listed him in the starting lineup for tonight's series opener against the Chicago White Sox.
