Rangers Promote Tyler Phillips To Double-A Frisco, Hear His Conversation With Jared Sandler

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - 105.3 The Fan's Jared Sandler caught up with Tyler Phillips, the Rangers 2018 Minor League Pitcher of the Year, just a day before he earned a promotion. 

Texas promoted Phillips from Single-A Down East to Double-A Frisco today.  

Phillips posted a 2-2 record with a 1.19 ERA in six starts for the Wood Ducks. 

The Rangers selected Phillips out of a New Jersey high school in the 16th round of the 2015 draft.

According to mlb.com, he's the club's 15th best prospect. 

The Rangers also promoted one of their top pitching prospects, Cole Winn, to Low-A Hickory.
