ARLINGTON (105.3 THE FAN) - Texas Rangers single-game tickets go on sale today - but don't expect to get one for Opening Day at the Rangers' new ballpark.
Season ticket packages have been available for some time but today is the first chance get tickets for individual games. Some seats can be had for as little as $9.
Seats may be at a premium this year because it is the team's first season in the new Globe Life Field with its retractable roof. That's partly because capacity is 40, 000, which is about 8,000 fewer than the previous ballpark. So, that's one reason single-game tickets are not available for Opening Day.
Due to the limited capacity and high demand, right now the teams is including Opening Day only as part of partial or whole season ticket packages.
The Rangers' home opener is March 31st, hosting the Angels in a day game.
