Report: CBS Prepared To Give Tony Romo 'Substantial' Raise

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - CBS is making preparations to keep its star analyst in the booth for several more seasons.

According to the New York Post, the network is prepared to give Tony Romo a "substantial" raise that would keep him in the CBS broadcast booth after his three-year contract expires after next season.

Per the report, CBS is expected to pay the former Dallas Cowboys' quarterback more than the $4 million he currently makes.

As he's done in his first two seasons in the booth, Romo did a stellar job providing analysis in Sunday's AFC Championship game, predicting plays before they even happened.

Romo will be in the booth with Jim Nantz to call the Super Bowl on Feb. 3 in Atlanta.
