DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Already thin at the wide receiver position, the Cowboys made it even thinner on Tuesday when they released Lance Lenoir.
Lenoir was placed on the waived/injured list after suffering a knee injury prior to the 2019 season. Because he went unclaimed, he was placed on the Cowboys injured reserve list.
The Chicago native appeared in just 8 games during his time with the Cowboys in 2017 and 2018. He went undrafted and signed with Dallas as a free agent out of Western Illinois.
With Randall Cobb's departure and Tavon Austin unlikely to be re-signed, Dallas' receiving core now includes 8 players: Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, Devin Smith, Cedrick Wilson, Noah Brown, Ventell Bryant, Jon'Vea Johnson and Tevin Jones.
Dallas will surely add another wideout to the roster, via the draft or free agency.
