Report: Cowboys Sign AAF Defensive End Shakir Soto

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys have signed former AAF defensive end, Shakir Soto, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

Defensive end Shakir Soto, who impressed as a pass-rusher for the AAF’s San Diego Fleet, has signed with the #Cowboys, source said. Another AAF alum back in the NFL. He’s spent time with the #Broncos and #Raiders.

Prior to spending 8 games as a rotational defensive lineman for the San Diego Fleet of the Alliance of American Football league, Soto played for the Denver Broncos and the Oakland Raiders.

Soto signed with the Broncos after going undrafted out of Pittsburgh in the 2017 NFL draft. Soto didn't make the 53-man roster but spent time on Denver's practce squad before signing on with Oakland. He has yet to appear in an NFL regular season game.
