DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - As the Dallas Cowboys continue to shore up their coaching staff under Mike McCarthy, they reportedly have their sights set on a defensive line coach.
As Mike McCarthy works to build out his #Cowboys staff, another familiar name that's being targeted is Jim Tomsula, per sources. Respected D-line coach (and onetime #49ers coach) would take over a talented group in Dallas.

According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, Dallas is targeting Washington Redskins defensive line coach Jim Tomsula for the position.
Jane Slater of the NFL Network reported Monday that the Cowboys defensive coordinator and defensive line coach, Rod Marinelli, hadn't made a decision yet regarding his future, but recognizes it's "clear" the team will go in another direction.
#Cowboys DC Rod Marinelli tells me he's made no decision about his future but with a move in a different direction on defense clear he tells me "Only thing I know is they can't send me back to Vietnam, after that it's cake. Outlook is always forward."We shared a laugh on that
— Jane Slater (@SlaterNFL) January 6, 2020Tomsula spent eight seasons with the San Francisco 49ers from 2007 to 2015 as the defensive line coach and head coach. He was promoted to head coach after Jim Harbaugh was forced out following the 2014 season and went 5-11. He was ultimately replaced after the season and eventually moved on to Washington where he's been the Redskins defensive line coach since 2017.
