DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Texas Rangers could be getting a big boost to their lineup this weekend with the potential return of All-Star designated hitter, Hunter Pence.
According to TR Sullivan of mlb.com, manager Chris Woodward there's a good chance Pence will return Saturday as long as everything goes well during his rehab appearance with Double-A Frisco tonight.
Pence sat out Tuesday's All-Star game after aggravating his right groin injury during a rehab game with Frisco earlier this month.
Texas originally placed Pence on the injured list with a right groin strain on June 17.
Pence is hitting .294 with 15 home runs and 48 RBI in 55 games played.
