Report: Jason Garrett Hasn't Completed Exit Meetings With Players

FRISCO (105.3 The Fan) - As we all continue to wait on the three people (Jerry, Stephen and Jason) who know what's actually going on with the status of Jason Garrett's future, another incomprehensible update has come out Thursday.

One other update. #Cowboys HC Jason Garrett hasn't finished all his exit interviews either. There are players who have not yet met with him.

Jane Slater of the NFL Network reported today that Garrett had yet to finish his exit interviews with players, a season-ending routine for returning coaches that generally doesn't take more than a day, despite them beginning on Monday.

Update from a team source on a Jason Garrett/Jones family meeting take 3 : "I think they will meet later today" no timeline, thoughts on the tone or direction of the meeting. The only people in the know here seem to be Jerry, Stephen and Jason. Wild.

Additionally, Slater adds that a source tells her "I think they will meet later today," regarding the Dallas Morning News' report that the Jones family and Garrett will meet for the third time since the season ended Sunday.

After missing out on the playoffs in six of his nine seasons as head coach of the team, including this season, Garrett continues to be the coach of the Dallas Cowboys. His contract reportedly continues through Jan. 14 despite a different report indicating it was up on New Year's Day.

Earlier this week, Garrett had reportedly indicated to current staffers with expiring contracts that they should begin searching for other work and that their contracts would not be renewed.

Stay tuned.
