Kleber, 27, averaged 6.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game in 71 contests last season.
Kleber, a Wurzberg, Germany native (like Dirk), is a restricted free agent and his contract doesn't prevent Dallas from continuing to shop this offseason. Kleber can be signed once the Mavericks reach or exceed the salary cap.
Dallas also agreed to a deal with free agent guard Seth Curry earlier Monday.
This is a developing news story.
