DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Per a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter on Sunday Morning, Dallas Cowboys second-year wideout Michael Gallup is expected to take the field on Sunday afternoon against the Packers.

Cowboys’ WR Michael Gallup, listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Packers due to a knee injury, is expected to play, per source.

105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher reported Gallup's return to practice and his possible return to the lineup earlier this week.

Gallup exploded onto the scene in 2019, leading the Cowboys in yards, targets, and receptions through the first two games of the season with 13 catches on 15 targets for 226 yards.

In the final minutes of his 6-catch 68-yard outing against the Redskins in week 2, Gallup suffered a torn meniscus and underwent a scope that was expected to keep him out two to four weeks.

After returning to practice this week, Gallup impressed the training staff enough in his recovery that they felt comfortable allowing him to return to the lineup after just a two-week absence.

The Cowboys passing offense had struggled without Gallup in the lineup over the last two weeks, culminating in an uninspired offensive performance against the Saints last week, in which the team scored just 10 points in a loss.

The Packers will not be an easy first test back for the 23-year old, however, as they rank third in the league in pass defense, giving up just 188 yards per game.

The Cowboys and Packers will take the field at 3:25 pm CT on Fox. You can also listen to the matchup and the official Cowboys pregame show live on 105.3 The Fan.
