According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, McCarthy wants Moore to be his offensive coordinator. It's unknown, however, if Moore or McCarthy would be the one calling the plays under such a scenario.
Complicating McCarthy's wishes is the fact that Moore is mulling over an offer to become the next offensive coordinator of the University of Washington under new head coach, Jimmy Lake.
Moore, a native of Prosser, Washington, played under former Washington head coach, Chris Petersen, at Boise State. Lake became Petersen's successor after he made the decision to step away from the program to "step away and recharge."
Under Moore, the Cowboys had one of the NFL's best offenses this season, leading the league in total offensive yards (431.5) per game.
