DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Now that the Dallas Cowboys have hired their next head coach in Mike McCarthy, they can now turn their attention to filling out the rest of the coaching staff.

According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, a name to watch for the defensive coordinator position is New Orleans Saints linebackers coach, Mike Nolan.

Nolan is a very experienced coach, having spent 32 years in the NFL. He's had stints as the defensive coordinator with the New York Giants, Washington Redskins, New York Jets, Baltimore Ravens, Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins and Atlanta Falcons.

He was the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers from 2005 to 2008.

The future of the rest of the Cowboys coaching staff is currently unknown. Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports reported Sunday night that in addition to Kellen Moore and Marc Colombo, the next head coach also "may very well need to retain" quarterbacks coach Jon Kitna and running backs coach Gary Brown.
