DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Former Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator and defensive line coach, Rod Marinelli, is expected to join the Las Vegas Raiders coaching staff, Jim Trotter of NFL.com reported Tuesday.
Raiders coach Jon Gruden has fired respected defensive line coach Brenston Buckner and is expected to replace him with Rod Marinelli. Under Buckner, the Raiders improved from 13 sacks in 2018 to 32 this year, and from 30th against the run to 8th.

January 14, 2020 Per Trotter, the Raiders fired defensive line coach Brenston Buckner and are expected to replace him with Marinelli.
After the Cowboys hired Mike McCarthy to be their next head coach, the 70-year-old veteran coach spoke with Jane Slater of the NFL Network, saying he hadn't made a decision yet regarding his future but recognized it was "clear" the team would go in another direction.
