DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Newly acquired Dallas Maverick, Willie Cauley-Stein, will be available to play in the Mavs Monday night tip-off against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Rick Carlisle told the media before the game.
The Mavericks traded for Cauley-Stein on Friday in order to help fill the void left by Dwight Powell, who was lost for the season with an Achilles Injury in the Mavs home loss to the Clippers last week.
Dallas sent a second-round pick back to Golden State in exchange for Cauley-Stein, who had previously signed as a free agent with the Warriors over the summer.
Cauley-Stein averaged 7.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per contest with Golden State, and is averaging 9.8 points, and 6.4 rebounds per game for his career.
Cauley-Stein also had a previous stop with the Sacramento Kings, after being selected with the sixth overall pick of the 2015 NBA Draft.
Dallas tips off against the Thunder at 7 pm from Chesapeake Energy Arena.
