Former Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant is getting another shot at the NFL.
Free-agent WR Dez Bryant is expected to travel to Baltimore this week for a workout with the #Ravens, sources tell @SlaterNFL and me. This has been in the works for a while. Dez hasn't played in a game since 2017, but he's in shape, motivated, and intends to play in 2020.

Jane Slater, also of the NFL Network, reported that Bryant reached out to Ravens head coach John Harbaugh ahead of the NFL draft, and again, recently, about a shot with Baltimore.
As I first reported a workout on "The 'Boys and Girls" podcast Thursday, the workout has been one that both sides have closely guarded for fear it would get out. Dez Bryant reached out to Harbaugh ahead of the draft, planted the seed again and continued his workouts in DFW https://t.co/s6pIJrzsTG
— Jane Slater (@SlaterNFL) August 17, 2020The Ravens aren't the only team interested in Bryant as the 31-year-old has also been speaking with other teams about coming in for a workout, according to Josina Anderson.
I'm told free agent WR Dez Bryant has been in talks with the #Ravens and other teams for a potential workout, per sources. Bryant has been working hard to bring himself back.
— IG: JosinaAnderson (@JosinaAnderson) August 17, 2020It's unknown what Bryant has left in the tank after he hasn't appeared in an NFL game since 2017. He sat out the entire 2018 and 2019 seasons after his first comeback attempt was railroaded when he suffered a torn Achilles in his first practice with the New Orleans Saints.
Bryant has been posting workout videos to his social media accounts the entire offseason and told 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher all the way back in January that he was ready to return to the field.
"I'm where I need to be (physically) right now. I'm more serious than ever. ... I'm 100-percent hungry for the right situation."
Some of Bryant's workouts included some familiar faces with Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott notably being one of them. But do the Cowboys have any interest here?
According to 105.3 The Fan's Bryan Broaddus, Prescott was telling people close to him back in April that the Cowboys should bring Bryant back. Of course, that was before Oklahoma star receiver CeeDee Lamb fell into their lap in the first round of the draft.
