According to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News, Calhoun is in tonight's lineup as the designated hitter and will hit second.
Calhoun is having a very productive season with Triple-A Nashville. He is hitting .304 with 8 home runs and 22 RBI in 115 at-bats, and joins the Rangers after getting hits in 15 straight games.
Willie has had a very high level of production with @nashvillesounds so far this year with a slash of .304/.416/.557 (.973).Important to note that Calhoun has gotten most of his PAs in pitcher friendly environments, making his results even more impressive.
— Jared Sandler (@JaredSandler) May 15, 2019Andrus was injured running to first base in last night's loss to the Kansas City Royals. Texas has lost five straight games to fall a season-worst five games below .500.
Texas also sent Wei-Chieh Huang back to Nashville and recalled Jeffrey Springs.
