DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - Current Dallas Cowboys quarterback coach and former quarterback, Kellen Moore, is the top contender to fill in the now vacant offensive coordinator position.
Scott Linehan was released from the Dallas Cowboys as offensive coordinator on Friday after being with the team for five seasons.
A source from the NFL says former NFL quarterback and current offensive coordinator for the San Diego Fleet, Jon Kitna, may become the Cowboy's quarterback coach if Moore is promoted.
Moore would be an impressive and fast-rising promotion on the team, NFL Insider Ian Rapoport said.
Former NFL QB Jon Kitna, now offensive coordinator for the San Diego Fleet in the Alliance of American Football, is expected to become the Cowboys’ QB coach, per a league source. Dallas’ current QB coach, Kellen Moore, is a leading candidate to become Cowboys’ OC, per sources.

January 20, 2019 One possibility for the #Cowboys — and something that allows the Jon Kitna interest to make sense — is to promote fast-rising, impressive QB coach Kellen Moore to offensive coordinator. At the least, that is in the discussions of how to proceed. https://t.co/UdNoaZcitq
