Point being, it's logical to assume that #Porzingis has been aware of the woman's accusation, and that the #Knicks & #Mavs were also aware. https://t.co/P63vbWAZGy

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - According to the New York Post, Dallas Mavericks' Center Kristaps Porzingis is currently under investigation by the New York Police Department after allegations of rape.
According to the report, the victim is Porzingis' former neighbor and is alleging the rape took place in Porzingis' Manhatten penthouse on February 7th, 2018.
The New York Post is also reporting that investigators consider the 23-year-old woman credible and that she has discussed a $68,000 payment to her from Porzingis.
The Mavericks acquired Porzingis in a trade with the New York Knicks on January 31st in a deal that sent Dennis Smith Jr., DeAndre Jordan, Wesley Matthews and two future first-round picks to the Knicks for Kristaps Porzingis, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Courtney Lee.
The 23-year-old Porzingis is still recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in February of 2018. An injury that happened on the same day as the reported rape allegations.
In February of this year, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said that he would like to lock up Porzingis long term. "long-term, for sure. ... "Our goal is to keep these two guys (Kristaps Porzingis and Luka Doncic) together for the next 20 years," Cuban said.
According to the New York Post, Cuban is aware of the allegations and has been instructed not to comment. "We have been instructed by federal authorities not to comment," Cuban told The Post in an email, which he cc'ed to NBA officials and Porzingis' reps. Porzingis' reps also didn't comment to the Post's report.
