DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - Apparently Tony Romo thinks he deserves a raise after only spending a short time in the broadcast booth.
Romo is reportedly looking for a contract extension that will pay him "eight figures," to stay with CBS Sports, according to Sporting News.
The 'eight figures" in question seems like it's close to $10 million per year, a record amount for any television sports broadcaster.
Romo is currently making close to $4 million per year to call football games for CBS. His initial deal with CBS expires after the upcoming 2019 season.
By the way, John Madden only made $8 million a year, more than any broadcaster at that time when he was calling games. Even Jon Gruden only made $6.5 million a year from ESPN to call “Monday Night Football” before he returned to coach the Raiders.
