DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - The search is over for a Dallas Stars superfan, who was seen watching Game 4 alone in the rain at Victory Plaza.
Social media helped track down Dave from Fort Worth, who parked himself on Victory Plaza Wednesday night, with only an umbrella to shelter him.
A photo of him quickly spread across Twitter.
Dallas Stars president Brad Alberts says they're getting in touch with Dave to offer him a thank you gift: tickets to Game 6 back here at home on Sunday.
"We certainly don't want our fans sitting in thunderstorms watching games!" he says. "Obviously, it speaks to his enormous interest and loyalty."
The 2-2 Stars still have to battle it out tonight in St Louis for Game 5 against the Blues, which starts at 8:30 tonight. Regardless of how that ends, a Game 6 --and Dave's tickets-- are guaranteed.
We've got the best fans around. Love your team like this. --#GoStars | -- Joey Stewart pic.twitter.com/1eGzRvLWpC
