Well, this is the end for The Marvel Universe...but what an end it was.

Avengers: Endgame’ puts an entertaining, emotional and stunning bow onto a gift that completes one of cinemas greatest franchises.
While some have seen ALL 22 films leading up to this fantastic finish, it is absolutely not necessary for the casual movie fan to binge watch the series starting with 2008’s ‘Iron Man.’

While the plot tends to jump back-and-forth at times to examine loose ends, ‘Avengers: Endgame’ consistently keeps you captivated and never once allows you the time to question whether you need a pee break (BTW: it’s over 3 hours so urinate responsibly). The characters each have a defining role in the movie that leaves no die-hard fan wondering why his or her favorite didn’t get enough screen time. Personally, I was captivated by Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and his primary role as comedic relief and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) who without question will leave the audience speechless after a 180-minute rousing rollercoaster. ‘Avengers: Endgame’ will have you shed tears, but the epic fight scenes, including the finish which builds up to an amazing crescendo, had many in the theater audibly cheering with enthusiasm.

I can guarantee it … having been one of those people.        Many will ask the question, Is this the greatest superhero movie of all-time? My answer? Yes..sort of.

2008’s “The Dark Knight’ is the gold standard for all superhero movies that have come and those that will come. This is in part to the superb directing by Christopher Nolan and the unforgettable performance by the late Heath Ledger as The Joker. However, that movie was, well, more of a MOVIE with great acting that overshadowed many events including a CGI-infested fight scene, big budget hospital explosion and Gotham City car chase.  ‘Avengers: Endgame’ does provide excellent acting by many, but the totality of the franchise was perfectly wrapped up in a film that provided effects and visual imagery that will stand the test of movie time and ensure the people behind the camera an Oscar. So ‘The Dark Knight vs ‘Avengers: Endgame' Which is the greatest? Yes, is the answer.  Bottom line: ‘Avengers: Endgame’ will have you dragging yourself out of the theater a drained carcass of a human being, but delighted that you experienced one of the finest ways to say goodbye to your heroes. The hype for the film has reached all points of the globe for a reason … because the hype is real.
