NHL Insider Sean Shapiro joins host Gavin Spittle to recap the Canadiens' Game 7 victory against Buffalo. Vegas had their appeal denied by the NHL after the league fined John Tortorella $100,000 and stripped the team of its 2026 second-round draft pick. NHL fans are pointing out that the two teams that traded away Mikko Rantanen are still in it but the Stars aren’t. Sean reminds everyone Rantanen was beat up after the Olympics, took over the entire series against the Avalanche a year ago for the Stars and Carolina and Colorado were already really good, so Rantanen wasn’t the problem. Gavin loved watching Rasmus Dahlin for the Sabres in the Montreal series. He asks Sean if we can see Thomas Harley develop into a Dahlin-like player.
