3 key Cowboys set to return from injury

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Cowboys will be getting some reinforcements ahead of their Wild Card matchup against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Linebacker Leighton Vander Esch, center Tyler Biadasz and defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins will all practice on Wednesday, Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy told media members at The Star.

“I feel great about where we are. I think any time you can stand here and know that come Monday night you’re gonna have some guys that are disappointed that they’re not on the 48. To me, that’s as healthy as you can ask to be this time of year," McCarthy said.

Cornerback DaRon Bland, who exited Sunday's loss to the Commanders with a chest injury, will also be available to practice.

Biadasz missed the Commanders game after he suffered an ankle injury in the team's Week 17 win over the Titans. Before the injury, Biadasz had started every game for the Cowboys this season.

Vander Esch missed the Cowboys' last three games after he suffered a right shoulder stinger early in the team's overtime loss to the Jaguars. He was a limited participant in practices last week.

Hankins, whom the Cowboys acquired from the Raiders via a trade in October, was ruled out for the season with a pectoral strain after a Week 14 win over the Texans, but the team has maintained all along that he would return for the playoffs.
