Will the Cowboys struggle in the trenches despite signing Linval Joseph?
The Cowboys have added several defensive linemen since training camp kicked off five weeks ago, with veteran defensive tackle Linval Joseph becoming the latest to join the team on Wednesday.
Bobby Belt said Thursday on Shan and RJ that while Joseph will help the Cowboys' defensive line, he's concerned about all of the defensive linemen Dallas has brought in.
"You've signed several defensive linemen in the last two or three weeks. That would seem to signal some level of panic about what you are in the trenches on the defensive side of the ball. And a little bit concerning," Belt said. "I do think Linval Joseph will be productive. He's not quite the player he once was. But his productivity is not going to be something you notice. But for $4 million, that sounds like he's your starting defensive tackle at 1-technique."
Dallas previously brought in defensive ends Al-Quadin Muhammad and Carl Lawson, and defensive tackles Albert Huggins and Jordan Phillips to beef up the unit.
How concerned should we be about the trenches when it comes to the defensive line?
