The Associated Press announced the 2023 NFL All-Pro Team on Friday, and nine Cowboys made the cut.
Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, cornerback DaRon Bland, guard Zack Martin and kicker Brandon Aubrey were named to the first team, while quarterback Dak Prescott, linebacker Micah Parsons, left tackle Tyron Smith, guard Tyler Smith and punter Bryan Anger made the second team.
Lamb was nearly a unanimous choice, as he received 49 out of 50 first-place votes. This is the first time in his four-year career that he's been named to the first team. He was a second-team All-Pro in 2022.
“It’s very rewarding,” said Lamb via the AP. “Obviously, all the hard work has paid off. It’s humbling also.”
Lamb put his name in the Cowboys' record books in Week 17 when he broke Michael Irvin's single-season franchise records for receptions and receiving yards. Lamb led the NFL with 135 receptions and had 1,749 yards receiving and 12 touchdowns.
This is the seventh time Martin has been selected as an All-Pro and fifth for Tyron Smith. Before this year's selection, Smith hadn't been named an All-Pro since 2016.
This is the first second-team selection for Parsons after the pass rusher made the first team in his first two seasons in the NFL. According to voting totals released by the AP, Parsons received 22 first-place votes and 20 second-place votes. Eight voters left him off their ballots entirely.
Cleveland's Myles Garrett (40 first, nine second) and the Steelers' T.J. Watt (32 first, 16 second) made the first team as pass rushers, while Maxx Crosby of the Raiders made the second team alongside Parsons.
Prescott's selection marks the first time in the quarterback's eight-year career that he's made one of the All-Pro teams. Prescott had arguably the best season of his career in 2023, leading the NFL in touchdown passes with 36 while throwing for 4,516 yards.
The Raven's Lamar Jackson was named to the first team, receiving 45 first-place votes. Prescott received two votes for first-team, as did 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy. Bills signal-caller Josh Allen received the other first-place vote.
Bland earned his first AP All-Pro first-team honor after leading the NFL with nine interceptions. He set an NFL record along the way by returning five of those interceptions for touchdowns.
This is Anger's second All-Pro selection and Tyler Smith and Brandon Aubrey's first selections.
