DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - With starting left tackle Tyron Smith injuring his ankle against Minnesota this past Sunday, questions surrounding the Dallas Cowboys offensive line were beginning to mount.
On Thursday, however, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott seemingly had the answers to some of those questions, revealing that Terence Steele will be moving from right tackle to left tackle, and that La'el Collins will be resuming his normal role on the right side.
“So, La’el [Collins] back at right and [Terence] Steele moving over to left," Prescott said. He did a little of that last year... he’ll make a big step and he is showing that he can do it from that side as well.”
Collins returned from his five-game suspension against the Vikings on Sunday, but did not see much time on the field, with Steele maintaining his starting position at right tackle throughout the matchup.
With Smith now out, however, the left side will be an entirely new challenge for Steele, who up until this point, has not played on the left yet in his career.
For Steele though, it is an opportunity that also provides validation for the work he has put in this season.

“I think it shows they have a lot of trust in me," Steele said. "Tyron (Smith) is always giving me little nuggets here and there.”
Fortunately for Steele, he will no longer have to contend with Von Miller this Sunday, after he was traded to the Los Angeles Rams this week -- something that the confident Steele wishes wasn't the case.
“I wanted to go against him,” Steele said, “That’s Von Miller. He’s a legend.”
