Dallas Cowboys 2024 schedule: Dates, times, opponents, TV announced

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys released their 2023 schedule on Thursday night, and on paper, it appears that head coach Mike McCarthy and his group have their work cut out for them.

After finishing last season with a 12-5 record for the third consecutive season, Dallas fell in embarrassing fashion in the Wild Card Round in a 48-32 blowout loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Since then, Dallas things have gotten even tougher for Dallas, with the losses of Tony Pollard, Dorance Armstrong, Tyler Biadasz, Dante Fowler, Neville Gallimore, Johnathan Hankins, and Tyron Smith to free agency. That said, Dallas did make a key addition with the signing of linebacker Eric Kendricks, and had a very intriguing draft haul that will help fortify the trenches next season.

The bad news for Dallas is that they'll go up against some formidable opponents this season. In fact, per the NFL the Cowboys have the 14th toughest strength of schedule overall, and the fifth toughest in the NFC.

The schedule includes nine home games and right road games after the NFL added a 17th game to the schedule in 2021. Dallas had eight home games and nine road games last year.

Dallas' schedule also includes four games against arguably the toughest division in the NFL in the AFC North (Browns, Steelers, Ravens and Bengals), four games against the NFC South (Saints, Panthers, Falcons, Buccaneers), and games against 2023 division winners such as the Lions, 49ers and Texans.

After opening up last season against the New York Giants in the Meadowlands on Sunday Night Football, the Cowboys will open 2024 against the Cleveland Browns on the road on FOX, in what will be Tom Brady's first game in the broadcast booth.
