Basham will enter a pass rushing rotation that has already been one in the best in the NFL this season, alongside Micah Parsons, Dorance Armstrong, Sam Williams, DeMarcus Lawrence, and Dante Fowler.

Last season, Basham had 39 tackles, 3.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery in, 17 games and made six starts. He played 18 snaps against the Buccaneers in Week 1 before being injured.

In other injury news, the Cowboys will have to continue to wait for the return of wideout James Washington, who has been out for most of the season with a foot injury, and will not return to practice this week.

According to Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy, however, Washington is nearing a return.

“James is very, very close to being ready,” McCarthy said, via Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports.

The Cowboys will return to the field on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.
