DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Cowboys receiver Amari Cooper played on a season-low 63-percent of snaps in Sunday's win over the Giants, according to Pro Football Reference.
Cooper wasn't listed on the injury report leading up to the game but his low usage prompted the K&C Masterpiece to ask Cowboys COO Stephen Jones if was dealing with any sort of ailment?

"There's a few little things he's dealing with and we just felt like it was in our best interest, his best interest not to overdue him yesterday," Jones said. "Obviously, he's an explosive guy and he's one of the top receivers in the league. It's a long season and certainly as everyone saw Cedrick Wilson and Noah Brown are stepping up, and (we) felt like that was the best thing for us yesterday."
Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy was also asked about Cooper's usage at his press conference on Monday afternoon, and why he was missing for an entire series when they were establishing the run-game.
"There were some things we wanted to do. I hate to keep going back to it but the first four games were very lopsided. I'm a huge believer if a player is up on the 48-man roster you want them to contribute. You don't want to have players, regardless of their experience level, not participate in the game, because these young players have to play and they are going to be playing in the biggest games of the year. So, that's part of the thinking," McCarthy said. "As far as coming out of the game, we always have guys who have bumps and bruises. But I anticipate Amari to take his playing reps for this week and playing the game Monday night."
