ARLINGTON - Dallas Cowboys assistant coach Sharrif Floyd was hospitalized during the team's 30-10 win over the New York Jets on Sunday afternoon with an undisclosed issue, accordng to the team.
According to a report from Tracy Wolfson, Floyd fainted on the sideline early in the game, and was then taken to the locker room for medical attention.
Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy updated the status of Floyd after the game, but did not go into detail, telling reporters that the team 'felt good' about the feedback from medical professionals.
However, he offered no further comment.
Floyd was hired as the Cowboys assistant defensive line coach/defensive quality control coach this offseason, and is in his first year with the team.
